This list reviews all proposed aspects of the "InstaSHOP" store generator functionality from the Merchants perspective. If you don't understand all of the features listed, do not worry. The User's Manual and online help files will help you to understand all features, even if you have little or no technical experience at all. This is a recap of featurers we sought for our online hosted storefronts.

	Hosting:
	InstaSHOP system hosting included Unlimited throughput Nightly redundant backups (on site and off site)
	Access/Operation:
	Instant access upon registration 24 hour access to administration using a web browser Administration access is password protected
	Appearance Controls:
	Background, text, link, and viewed link colors are configurable using a built-in color picker Background image is supported Header image is supported Merchants may replace default button graphics HTML is accepted in all notes and footer fields
	Page Footer:
	Allows for 3 lines of text HTML may be used Optional contact email line Optional copyright notice line Page footer is automatically applied throughout the InstaSHOP
	Graphics Upload:
	All graphic files are uploaded via the web browser System supports .gifs and .jpgs Automatic format check for bad files or bad file types Automatic image dimension checking and recording for proper inline tags
	Product Database:
	All data is looked up locally for security Database supports up to 25,000 products Price for each product is required Shipping units field is required and is used in shipping calculations Complimentary products feature allows the merchant to display up to 6 product as complimentary in the shopping cart page when a product is added to the cart (for add on sales) Merchant may override state/provincial and federal tax settings to make a product non taxable when default definition of taxes exists Product cloning feature allows merchant to duplicate the last product entered or to clone a selected product (to reduce time in data entry of similar products) Option of online or offline product database editing (table editing by spreadsheet)
	Shopping Cart / Checkout General:
	Customer may review or delete any item presented in the shopping cart Current subtotals by product and complete order displayed The merchant may define the following payment options: real time credit card processing via InternetSecure secure capture of credit card information C.O.D. purchase order merchant call back to client for payment info fax phone mail on-line check (for u.s. merchants only) Session type can be set by the Merchant as cookie tracking, ip tracking, or Merchant defined session variable name and value. Currency settings allow Merchant to define the currency symbol used, position, decimal places and name of currency Currency converter will show user the approximate total in a second currency defined by the Merchant with the same parameters as the primary currency settings Up to 5 additional attributes may be passed into the Cart by the Merchant (i.e. size, color, personalized information) Payment and shipping information collected separately Optional comments fields with Merchant defined labels applied on shipping information screen Merchant defined notes on the Cart page, Shipping Data page, Shipping/Payment selection page, Thank You page, and every payment format page Shipping calculator built in (see Shipping Calculator) Taxes are automatically applied as defined by the merchant globally and on a product by product basis (see Tax Configuration) Email notification of sale to Merchant Email confirmation of completed transaction to Customer
	Shipping Calculator:
	4 options for shipping models Merchant may select and label up to 5 levels of shipping service for 'standard config calculator'. Merchant may choose to ship to an unlimited number of regions Merchant may define regions (states/provinces/cities) within shipping tables Base template of 230 countries plus more than 70 regions including all states and provinces in the US, Canada and Australia Merchant can deny service to any region Default service levels may be omitted for specific regions and will not be presented to the customer In checkout the customer is presented with the delivery options for the destination of their order
	Tax configuration:
	Up to 8 levels of regional sales tax may be configured for states and/or provinces Federal tax individually set If HST is set for an Atlantic Canadian province, the federal tax setting (GST) will be nullified for the transaction. (for use by Canadian merchants only) Merchant may set tax as being applicable or not applicable to shipping charges
	Membership Database:
	Merchant managed database additions, deletions, editing, listing Members may be automatically added upon first purchase Option for 'Rapid Checkout' for Members Discounts may be set individually for Members as a percentage or dollars off minimum purchase amount Option for bulk emailing to all members
	Referral Tracking System:
	Merchant defines unique code and provides unique url for use on banners and links from other sites ( a real traffic builder) InstaSHOP system accepts the link, records, then automatically and seemlessly redirects the Customer's browser to a predefined address specified by Merchants All sales as a result of a link are reported to the Merchant Online and offline reporting include clickthrough tracking and net sales tracking for links
	Merchant Support Features:
	Complete Merchant manual available online and in Word format for download 'System Check' feature reviews all settings and returns a readiness report to the merchant System diagnostics feature allows the Merchant to check InstaSHOP functions as their own Web site is created. All Merchants are added to the InstaSHOP mailing list for open communications between Merchants Email based support available to all merchants - InstaSHOP tech support staff have access to merchant administration to investigate reported problems or difficulties first hand
	Order Retrieval:
	One click check for waiting orders SSL secured order pick up One page viewing with forward, back and delete functions All orders are archived for future reference and backup
	Security:
	SSL server for all forms of transactions Optional real time secured credit card processing via InternetSecure Price lookups on addition to cart to prevent 'web hacking' of prices Triple DES encryption of all transaction data stored SSL server employed for order pickups Server and InstaSHOP system is protected by a wide range of proprietary security features
