The Multi-Tech Y2K Services
Multi-Tech is taking the Year 2000 issue very
seriously, and intends to provide its customers the same high quality services to which
they have become accustomed to before, on, and after January 1, 2000.
Multi-Tech Computer Experts recently
established a Year 2000 committee to coordinate appropriate activity and report to its
President on a continuing basis with regard to the Year 2000 issue. The Year 2000 Program
committee has developed and is currently implementing a comprehensive plan for the company
to become Year 2000 ready. The Year 2000 Program generally consists of six phases:
| (i) |
project planning and inventory of all of the
company's assets, |
| (ii) |
assessment, and remedies |
| (iii) |
renovation (whether by upgrade or replacement), |
| (iv) |
testing and validation, |
| (v) |
implementation and alternate outsourcing
vendors |
| (vi) |
creation of contingency plans in the event of Year
2000 failures. |
Multi-Tech's
Year 2000 Program covers:
| (i) |
software and hardware products which are
supplied by Multi-Tech to its customers, |
| (ii) |
the Company's information technology and operating
systems ("IT Systems"), and |
| (iii) |
the Company's non-information technology
systems, including embedded technology ("Non-IT Systems") and accounting systems. |
In addition, the Year 2000 Program calls for
Multi-Tech to identify and assess the systems and services of its major vendors, third
party network service providers and other material service providers, and take appropriate
remedial actions and develop contingency plans where appropriate in connection with such
systems.
Multi-Tech
will also implement a Y2K onsite checkup service for all our contract customers. We can
verify the impact of the Y2K date change over on your PCs or office network, and make
suggestions for compliance. Call 810-776-9664 to inquire about this service.
